Karaoke for a Cause is a fundraising event supporting Children’s Voice CASA, Inc.’s mission to advocate for children in foster care. Proceeds from the evening help sustain volunteer advocacy, youth resources, and family support initiatives.

Your support of Karaoke for a Cause directly strengthens Children’s Voice CASA, Inc.’s ability to advocate for all 150 children currently in foster care in Douglas County. Every donation helps ensure that children and youth have a consistent, well-trained advocate by their side—both in and out of the courtroom.

Proceeds from this event support critical initiatives, including:

Supporting Older Youth & Transition-Age Youth

Your contributions allow us to expand newly approved efforts focused on older youth by providing:

  • Suitcases (so youth never have to move with belongings in trash bags)

  • High-quality hygiene products

  • Laptops and technology access

  • Sneakers and essential clothing items

  • Workshops designed to prepare youth for independence, including:

    • Basic financial planning and budgeting

    • Credit score education and management

    • Job readiness and application support

    • Housing application navigation

    • Financial aid and FAFSA assistance

    • College planning and readiness

    • Vocational and workforce skill development

Launching the Parent & CASA Peer Support Program

Funding from this event will also help launch our Parent/CASA Peer Program, designed to support parents navigating the foster care system through informed, compassionate advocacy. This program centers:

  • Harm reduction practices

  • Cultural humility

  • Trauma-informed advocacy

  • Strength-based, needs-focused interventions

Through this initiative, families receive guidance, resources, and support that promote reunification, stability, and long-term success.

Your voice matters—on and off the mic.
Thank you for giving, showing up, and singing for our children’s lives.
